Spoon Films is a multi-faceted production company turning out all manner of creative media, from commercials to original client-direct ad campaigns to independent feature film development.

Why spoons? They’re evocative, playful, and kind of sexy.  We like their metaphorical significance: in order for any creative endeavor to sing, the elements need to be in sync, like spoons nesting in a drawer or people spooning in a bed.  And just as you see images reflected upside down in a spoon, solutions to creative obstacles can often be found by bending perception.  Some people call it thinking outside the box.  We like to call it thinking inside the spoon.

Why Austin? Because Los Angeles no longer needed to be the center of our universe.  Because we missed our families.  Because, as passionate as we are about our work, we grew weary—of the smog, the puffery, the traffic.  Sure, on any given week one of us is likely to be there.  But then we get to come home and watch the sunset on the lake, and eat enchiladas at Maudie’s, and sip margaritas at Shady Grove.  Come visit and see what we mean.
